“Welcome to the SRC!”

A required greeting phrase, any person who enters the facility will hear this phrase said by the White Ropes currently on duty.

With that, we, the SRC staffs, hope that you feel most welcomed here.  And as you sit longer, listening to the chatters, the sound of music emitting from several laptops or phones, the sound of the ball slamming against the pad on the ping-pong tables or to the sound of the white ball connecting with another ball on the pool tables, you will start to notice the feel of the room. Depending on which days you come, of course, the feel can be chaotic due to the numbers of people screaming over each other as the Football game plays on the large monitor.  Or it can be a calm feel with people simply chilling as they clickety-clack on their laptops.

Then there are the Game Pods, four (4) rooms specifically dedicated to several game consoles any individual can borrow from the front desk, that range from Xbox 360 to PS3. Game CDs, with some scratched ones, are located on the front desk as well in 3 blue CD albums.

The café, which the building is named after, is located in another room to the left of the main room.  There, you can come and cook whichever meal you feel you deserve to enjoy that day.  Keep it clean, of course, or the White Rope in charge of the cafeteria will stalk you down to clean again or to ban you from cooking there again.  Nonetheless, it’s a kitchen with 2 ovens, 4 stoves, 1 sink and 3 counters, so three people can cook at the same time.

All in all, it is a good time.  One of the few gems this base has to offer. Do come and take a peek.  It won’t bite you ever.  Maybe the chaplains will, but then again, it’s a part of their job.  Hehe.
